WHALOM PARK, A WHALE OF A TIME.
These photographs were shot using a 3.2 megapixel Mintola digital camera. Originally these images were backups and tests shots; I had been spending this quick-damage-free-break-in jaunt through my childhood memories shooting with a Pentax K1000 and an old german camera from 19040’s, both 35mm. The intention was to showcase the images shot on film. But over time I fell in love with these digital shots on my early 2000’s point and shoot. The low-res grain of these images is what gives them a sense of time, the same as an polaroid from the 1970’s or a photo from an old instamatic. This 3.2 megapixel resolution has come to represent a time in my life, a time of growth, and time of exploration. So many of my memories of my best memories at have 3.2 megapixels.
